“Blackbird” & “Yesterday” medley by Fargenbastich
The great cover-man Fargenbastich singing a beautiful medley of “Blackbird” & “Yesterday”.
“This is dedicated to a recently dearly-departed friend arrangment from the Beatles “LOVE” show in Vegas, done in Paul’s original key of G; guitar tuned down one whole step, modified from previous version to reflect correct blackbird notes and lyrics. Sorry for any confusion.”
“Blackbird” (a cappella)
Guitarfreak289, a “one-man-band” created a version of “Blackbird” a cappella.
He describes it as follow:
“With a large amount of inspiration from the King’s Singers, here is my a cappella version of Blackbird by the Beatles. No instruments at all in this one, just about 10 tracks of vocals mixed together. Wasn’t quite sure what to do with the video, (short of cloning myself), so I just used shots from around my yard. Enjoy!”
Jaco Pastorius “Blackbird” (Studio Version)
Jaco Pastorius”Blackbird” (Studio Version, album “Word of Mouth”)
“Word of Mouth” was the second album by Jaco Pastorius, released in 1981 while the bassist was a member of Weather Report, and also the name of a big band group that Pastorius assembled and with whom he toured from 1980 to 1986. While his debut album showcased his eclectic and impressive skills on the electric bass, Word of Mouth focused more on his ability to compose and arrange for a larger band than was previously featured on his first album.
