This is the studio version of Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds as performed by Elton John and Dr. Winston O’Boogie. It was used for the movie “All This and World War II.”
For those of you that don’t know, ‘Lucy’ is actually Lucy Vodden, who recently passed away.
RIP Lucy.

Lucy O’Donnell was four years old when her classmate at nursery drew a picture of her, surrounded it with stars and took it home to show his parents.
“It’s Lucy in the sky with diamonds,” Julian Lennon told his father, inspiring one of the Beatles’ most enigmatic songs and carving his friend a slice of musical immortality.
Today it emerged that Lucy, now known by her married name Vodden, died last week after suffering for years from lupus, a disease of the immune system. She was 46.

For years it was thought the song was an ode to hallucinogenic drug LSD, but it was later revealed that Lucy O’Donnell, a nursery classmate of Julian’s, was the muse.
As the story goes, one day Lennon was picking Julian up from nursery when his son showed him a picture he had drawn of a girl surrounded by starlike shapes.
His father then used the image as the inspiration for the song that features on Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, released in 1967…
