About "Because"

From the original Beatles Album "Abbey Road" (1969)

PAUL 1969: "I like John's 'Because' on the second side. To say, 'Because the world is round it turns me on' is great. And 'Because the wind is high it blows my mind'"

GEORGE 1969: "I think my favorite one on the album is 'Because.' The lyrics are uncomplicated... but the harmony was actually pretty difficult to sing. I think it's one of those tunes that will definitely impress most people."

JOHN 1980: "I was lying on the sofa in our house, listening to Yoko play Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata' on the piano. Suddenly, I said, 'Can you play those chords backward?' She did, and I wrote 'Because' around them. The song sounds like 'Moonlight Sonata,' too. The lyrics are clear, no bullshit, no imagery, no obscure references."

essa musica tem 4l anos de existencia. duvido que hoje qualquer grupo do mundo inteiro, faça algo parecido. mesmo com todo os recursos disponiveis que hoje existem. BEATLES SÃO ETERNOS.

Such wonder, such memories

One of my best memories is when this album first came out. I was in Panama in the Navy, living in an apartment with some friends. We'd waited weeks to get a tape from the States. The afternoon we received it, we invited a group of friends for a party, got ourselves nicely stoned, and listened to Abbey Road for the first time. Amazing. Anyone my age who remembers hearing it for the first time, I'm sure also has strong memories. The Beatles were brilliant.

I really love this song. This is a very short song with simple lyrics, but the melody is genius! This is an immortal song.

The song "Because" takes me back to the fantastic harmony of the Beatles. Makes me miss John Lennon and all the Beatles and the Legend they brought to rock and roll.
