Dizzy Miss Lizzie

Composed by Williams

About "Dizzy Miss Lizzie"

From the original Beatles Album "Help!" (1965)

Paul McCartney has stated that he believes this song to be one of the Beatles best recordings. It features loud, rhythmic instrumentation, and John Lennon giving the vocal his all. The song also appeared in a live solo version by Lennon on the Plastic Ono Band's Live Peace in Toronto 1969.
The title is playfully misleading. The actual lyric is, "You make me dizzy, Miss Lizzy".
The song was originally thought about by band manager Brian Epstein, and was later introduced to Ringo Starr, the band's drummer. He made sure that the band recorded it after loving its upbeat rhythm and interesting lyrics.

Nostalgia
This song was my first aquaintance with the Beatles. "Yesterday" was the A-side of the single at the time but I felt much more attracted to the upbeat of Lizzie. And what a start with this loud guitar givin' me the shivers allover. It surely was the discovery of my musical curiosity.
