About "I'm Happy Just to Dance with You"

From the original Beatles Album "A Hard Day's Night" (1964)

JOHN 1980: "'I'm Happy Just To Dance With You,' that was written for George to give him a piece of the action. I couldn'ta sung it."

PAUL circa-1994: "We wrote 'I'm Happy Just To Dance With You' for George in the film. It was a bit of a formula song. We knew that in (the key of) E if you went to an A-flat-minor, you could always make a song with those chords... that change pretty much always excited you."

LOVE this tune!
Never forget borrowing my sister's Hard Days Night album and falling in love with this song the first time I heard it. Such a wonderful musical 'hook' to grab your ear and a remarkably 'sing-able' melody. So much of today's music you cannot sing along with. That's why this music will live forever! Love, LOVE the Beatles -- ALWAYS!

I`m happy just to dance with you
Despite it wasn`t George`s work he did it great singing that nice song. He always was a great singer but he did not like to appear in the main role.
